Barrister Lisa Freeman of London, UK; lying loser
The Bar of England and Wales by Lincoln’s Inn provided Lisa Claire Freeman with a law license in 2005 after she graduated from the University of Bristol School of Law.
The Bar Standards Board found Lisa guilty of the following misconduct.
-
Knowingly and/or recklessly mislead the court
-
Diminished the trust and confidence which the public place in her or the profession
-
Order office employee to communicate to court she could not attend tribunal hearing on grounds she had hospital appointment to undergo medical procedure for existing medical condition
-
Lisa failed to act with honesty and integrity and undermined the public confidence in her and/or the profession in that she knew this she did not have a hospital appointment on that date and attended another professional appointment
-
Result of Lisa’s false statement was that the instructing solicitor, the other party in the underlying action and the tribunal were wrongly adjourned the hearing
-
Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Barrister Misfits sitting on the Bar Standards Board punished Lisa by gifting her with a complimentary 3-month suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. April 2020), Lisa practices with Furnival Chambers at 32 Furnival Street in London, United Kingdom.
