Attorney Christopher Quinlan of Elmira, NY; ethical troll

The State of New York provided Christopher G. Quinlan with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Syracuse University School of Law.

A Disciplinary Department Board Panel found Chris guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to deliver to a client or third person in a prompt manner, as requested by that client or third person, property in his possession that the client or third person is entitled to receive
  • Engaged in conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct that adversely reflects on his fitness as a lawyer
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Panel punished Chris by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak, (ca. April 2020), Chis practices with the Chemung County Public Defender’s Office at 163 Lake Street in Elmira, New York.
