Attorney David Hefferon of Charlotte, NC; ethical troll

The State of North Carolina provided David Benjamin Hefferon with a law license in 2016 after he graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Davie guilty of the following misconduct.

• During initial consultation with a client, Davey learned that her then-husband was attempting to fain full custody of her son and that she was unemployed, homeless, and suffering from mental health problems and substance abuse
• Brought a six-pace of beer for himself and a bottle of wine for client for trip to her hotel room
• Paid for client to stay in hotel from June 28 to Ju1 1
• Paid for client’s hotel rooms prior to her divorce and child custody hearings
• Touched client’s genitals while he was in her hotel room
• Violated rule prohibiting providing financial assistance to a client
• Kissed and touched client’s breast in her hotel room
• Continued represent the woman while simultaneously trying to prevent her from disclosing his misconduct and lack of appropriate boundaries

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Davey by the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee.
