Attorney E. Jay Sheen of Salt Lake City; ethical ogre

The State of Utah provided E. Jay Sheen with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from the University of Utah School of Law.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme Court found Jay guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with client
• Knowingly made statement of false fact in disciplinary proceeding (Screw you, said Jay!)
• Filed documents on client’s behalf after statute of limitations had tolled

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Jay by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
