Attorney Angela Gurney of Salina, UT; lying slacker

The State of Utah provided Angela Sampinos Gurney with a law license in 2010 after she graduated from the University of Utah School of Law.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme Court found Angie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with client
• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation
• Misconduct involved multiple offenses
• Lacked good faith effort to make restitution or rectify consequences of her misconduct
• Misconduct involved dishonest or selfish motive
• Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Angie!)
• Failed to provide clients with updates on their matters
• Failed to respond to discovery in client case
• Failed to comply with court deadlines
• Failed to advise client of discovery being served upon her
• Lied to client about case status
• Failed to return client file to new counsel

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Denise by gifting her with a complimentary 18-month suspension of her law license.

As we speak, (ca. April 2020), Angie practices with Sampinos Legal PLLC at 37 North 100 East in Salina, Utah.
