Judge Douglas Gardner of Dolgeville, NY; serial scofflaw

The State Commission on Judicial Conduct found Doug guilty of the following misconduct.

• Mishandled court funds
• Drove for more than eight years without a valid driver’s license
• Failed to deposit finds and court-collected funds
• Failed to maintain receipts for funds he received in 64
• Failed to report the dispositions of 40 traffic tickets to the Department of Motor Vehicles as required by law

Rather than await a decision from the Judicial Conduct Board, Doug did what any coward would do, he resigned.

As we speak (ca. March 2020), it is rumored that Doug has applied for a job as a greeter at the Walmart Supercenter Store located at 103 North Caroline Street in Herkimer, New York.
