Judge Richard Standridge of Kansas City, MO; ethical dwarf

The State of Missouri provided Richard Standridge with a law license in 2008 after he graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law in San Diego.

FYI: Former Gov. Mel Carnahan was duped into appointing Dick as an Associate Circuit Court Judge in 1993. Dick didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Kansas City area. He received the appointment because he was deemed to be a reliable lackey by the local political hacks.

In one matter, it has been alleged that Judge Standridge issued orders to public defenders that required them to violate ethics rules on lawyers’ responsibilities in taking on additional cases. Standridge laughingly told the Kansas City Stare that he did so in writing to protect the public defenders.

Despite Judge Standridge’s conduct, it is highly unlikely that he will face any actions being taken against him by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Kansas Commission on Judicial Conduct.

As we speak (ca. March 2020), Standridge continues to sit as an Associate Jackson County Circuit Court Judge in Kansas City, Kansas.
