Attorney James Dunlap Jr. of Atlanta, GA; bullying liar

The State of Georgia provided James A. Dunlap Jr. with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law.

The Tennessee Supreme Court found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Misled administrative law Judge Kim Summers about the status of related federal litigation and
  • Threatened Judge Summers with a lawsuit, which he subsequently filed
  • In lawsuit v. Judge Summers, Jimmy faulted her for missing a 180-day deadline for holding a hearing, despite the fact that Jimmy had sought the delays
  • Jimmy also allegedly said opposing parties were trying to enlist Summers to be their “fixer”
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Jimmy’s conduct amounted to bullying
  • Violated his duty of candor to a tribunal
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Jimmy by suspending his law license to practice in Tennessee for one-year.

As one would suspect, Jimmy and fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.jamesdunlaplaw.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients so that he would not limit his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. March 2020), Jimmy practices with James A Dunlap Jr. and Associates LLC at 4403 Northside Parkway NW in Atlanta, Georgia.
