Attorney Paul Kelley of Kent, OH; thieving slacker

The state of Ohio presented Paul Michael Kelley with a law license in 2011 after he graduated from Cleveland State University School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Paulie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to appear at court-scheduled hearing re: client’s divorce case
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Abandoned his client
  • Failed to take affirmative steps to obtain new counsel for his client
  • Failed to communicate with his client
  • Failed to advise his client that he did not carry legal malpractice insurance
  • Abandonment of client caused material adverse effects on said client
  • Terminated client representation without obtaining required court approval
  • Failed to take steps to protect client’s interest upon abandoning his representation
  • Failed to return unearned fees upon abandonment of client (thief)

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Paulie by the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. (March 2020), Paulie practices 4618 State Route 43 in Kent, Ohio.
