Attorney Kenavon Carter of Austin, TX; ethical gremlin, repeat offender

The state of Texas presented Kenavon Tramayne Carter with a law license in 2006 after he graduated from the University of Texas School of Law.

The Local District Grievance Committee found Kenny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to advise client of termination of representation
  • Client forced to wait 2-months to obtain court-appointed representation after Kenavon abandoned her
  • Failed to attend court-scheduled hearing on client’s behalf
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Kenavon!)

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Kenny’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a stayed 1-year suspension of his law license for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. April 2020) Kenny practices at 506 West 12th Street in Austin, Texas.
