Attorney Barata Hollis of Frisco, TX; ethical gnome

The state of Texas presented Barata Roy Hollis with a law license in 2007 after he graduated from Rutgers University School of Law.

The Local District Grievance Committee found Barata guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Neglected legal matters entrusted to her
  • Negligence conduct led to several client cases to be dismissed for lack of prosecution
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Failed to explain legal matters to the extent necessary to allow client to make informed decisions regarding the representation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Barata by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 12-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Barata.

As we speak (ca. September 2020), Barata practices at 6988 Lebanon Road in Frisco, Texas.
