The state of Texas presented Steven Wayne Brooks with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from Texas Southern University School of Law.

FYI: Texas Southern is ranked as the 168^th best law school in the country out of 200 ABA (American Bar Association) accredited law schools.

The Local District Grievance Committee found Stevie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to deposit client fee into separate trust account
• Failed to refund unearned fee of $766.25 upon termination (thief)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Stevie.
