Attorney Curtis Den Beste of Cedar Rapids, IA; greedy loser

The state of Iowa presented Curtis Wayne Den Beste with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from California Western University School of Law.

FYI: California Western School of Law is ranked as the 164th best law school in the country out of 202 ABA accredited schools.

The Iowa Supreme Court Disciplinary Board found Curt guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Retained fees from clients that should have been split with his law firm
• Collected $18,200 in fees that he failed to split with the Howes Law Firm
• The Howes Firm should have received $9,200 of the $18,200 paid to Curt
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Curt!)
• Engaged in conduct that involves dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Curt by gifting him with a complimentary 4-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2020), Curt practices at 305 2^nd Avenue SE in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
