Attorney James L. Barr of Houston; potty mouth pervert

The state of Texas presented James L. Barr with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from the University of Houston.

At one time James Barr sat as a judge on the 337th Judicial District Court for Harris County in Houston. During his tenure on the bench, the Judicial Commission found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

Examples of Jimmy the Pervs Statements

The following statements were obtained from official records:
  1. Motioned to assistant DA from approach the bench by crooking his index finger and then said to her, “I just wanted to see if I could make you come [reach an orgasm] with one finger”
  2. Told an assistant DA who sought to return to her office while a jury deliberated that "You are so nice to look at, if you leave, all I'll have to look at all afternoon are swinging dicks”
  3. Told another assistant DA attorney that she must be on her period, reasoning that "Women always carry around their purse when they're on their period”
  4. Stated to an attorney to “go screw himself” in response to an attempt to reset a criminal case
  5. Consistently referred to female assistant DAs as “babes”
The Commission also found Jimmy guilty of:
  1. Unlawfully issued a writ of attachment
  2. Illegally ordered that a sheriff’s deputy be taken into custody
  3. Retaliated against sheriff deputy by setting bond at $50,000 to assure that he’d spend time in jail
The Commission stated that sexual harassment in the administration of justice harmful and offensive conduct which clearly indicates a lack of respect for the judge's victim, and, by reasonable extension, a lack of respect for the citizens of the State of Texas at large.

As a consequence of his perverted and disgusting conduct, the Supreme Court of Texas ordered that Jimmy be removed from the bench. However, because Judicial Misfits in Texas are held to a lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Jimmy’s law license was never suspended or revoked.

As we speak (ca. April 2012) Barr practices law at 1707 Post Oak Blvd. in Houston.
