Attorney Refugio Rafael of Corpus Christi, TX; serial offender, scofflaw

The state of Texas presented Refugio Rafael with a law license in 2008 after he graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law.

FYI: St. Mary’s is ranked as the 167^th best law school in the country out of 200 ABA (American Bar Association) accredited law schools.

The District 11 Grievance Committee found Refugio guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Refugio!)
• Engaged in illegal practice of law while license suspended
• Order to pay $2,000 in restitution to client (victim)

As one would suspect this wasn’t Refugio’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension and a 6-month suspension of his law license for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Refugio by gifting him with a complimentary 9-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. September 2020), Refugio practices with The Cavada Law Office at 5151 Flynn Parkway in Corpus Christi, Texas.
