Attorney Woodrow Howard III of Birmingham, AL; ethical ogre

The state of Alabama presented Woodrow Eugene Howard III with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Samford University School of Law.

The Alabama State Bar Association Woody guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in any other conduct that adversely reflects on his fitness to practice law
• Heirs petitioned probate court to remove Woody as personal representative citing his failure to communicate with them
• Failed to respond or appear pursuant to court order (Screw you, said Woody!)
• Probate court removed Woody as personal representative and revoked his letters testamentary
• Probate court also issued a deadline for Woody to file a final settlement for the estate, which he failed to meet, and as a result the court sanctioned him monetarily

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court punished Woody by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.  

As we speak (ca. February 2020), Woody practices at 732 Montgomery Highway in Birmingham, Alabama.
