Attorney Michael Shields of Mt. Sterling, KY; cheating loser

The state of Kentucky presented Michael Benjamin Shields with a law license in 2002 after he graduated from the University of Louisville School of Law. She also received a law license from Ohio in 2993 and Georgia in 1998.

The Kentucky Bar Association found Michele guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Accepted $2500 in legal fees after he already terminated client representation
  • Failed to notify client of his intent to terminate representation
  • Filed motion to withdraw three days before the start of the scheduled jury trial in client’s case
  • Failed to refund the unearned portions of the fee he collected (cheater)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kentucky Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 30-day suspension of his law license.

As one would suspect, Mikey and his firm fail to mention the misconduct set forth above on their self-serving website at www.whitepeckcarrington.com Apparently, they decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients to assure that she would not limit her future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. February 2020) Mikey practices with White Peck Carrington LLP at 26 Broadway in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.
