Justice of the Peace Adele Romagnoli of Barrie, CAN; moronic slacker
A discipline panel of the Justices of the Peace Review Council found Adele guilty of the following misconduct.
Former Attorney General of Ontario Marion Boyd was duped into appointing Adele as a Justice of the Peace in 1992. Adele didn’t receive the appointment because she was the most qualified person in the greater Ontario area. She received it because she had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.
FYI: Adele has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past twenty-eight (28) years. Apparently, no self-respecting owner of a retail store was about to offer Adele a good paying job.
In one matter, Justice Romagnoli over the case of four individuals who pleaded guilty to speeding in late on September 3, 2015. Both the prosecution and the defense provided Romagnoli with a joint submission that three of the accused should be given $200 fines, and a fourth should receive an $85 fine.
Rather than accept the pleas and hand down the fines almost immediately, which is normally the procedure, especially when both sides agree, Romagnoli said she would not render her decision until eleven (11) months later on Aug. 11, 2016.
Shortly after Romangali’s delay tactics had become public, Superior Court Justice Mark Edwards ordered her to accept the pleas and impose the fines, at the request of York Region, finding there was no justifiable reason for the delays.
Subsequently, the Justices of the Peace Review Council found Romagnoli guilty of the following misconduct.
As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Justices of the Peace Review Council punished Romagnoli by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. February 2020), Romagnoli continues to sit as an Ontario Justice of the Peace for the Central East Region in Barrie, Ontario, Canada.
