Attorney Cheryl Powell of Mount Vernon, IL; lying loser

The state of Illinois presented Cheryl Ann Powell with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Law.

The Disciplinary Commission found Cheryl guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Revealed client confidences
• Failed to adequately communicate with client
• Made inaccurate statements [lied] in connection with her billing statements
• Failed to comply with discovery
• Failed to appear for clients’ scheduled adoption proceeding

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Cheryl by gifting her with a complimentary 60-day suspension of her law license.

As we speak (February 2020), Cheryl practices with the Law Office of Cheryl A. Powell at 407 South 27^th Street in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
