Attorney Scott A. Sobel of Des Moines; liar, ethical leprechaun

 
The state of Iowa presented Scott A. Sobel with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from Drake Law School in Des Moines.
 
The Iowa Attorney Disciplinary Board previously found Sobel guilty of the following misconduct:
  • Gave false testimony at a post-conviction relief hearing
  • Engaged in dishonesty, fraud and deceit
  • Failed to provide a complete account of client funds
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice (obstruction of justice)
  • Violated the attorney-client privilege
As a consequence of his egregious misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Scotty by gifting him with a complimentary public reprimand.
 
This is just further proof as to why most Iowans have total disdain for the Legal Industry.
 
Isn’t Iowa a great country?
 
As we speak (ca. March 2012) Sobel practices law with the Sobel Law Firm in Des Moines.
