Attorney David Schorr of New York City; scofflaw

The state of New York presented David Evan Schorr with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from the New York University (NYU) School of Law.

The Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards found Davey guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in the unauthorized recording of a court proceeding
• Covertly recorded through his iPhone a court hearing involving his own divorce case

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the patrons for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.
