Attorney Jay Goldberg of New York City; scamming loser

The state of New York presented Jay Arthur Goldberg with a law license in 1967 after he graduated from the New York University (NYU) School of Law.

The Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards found Jay guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Violated fee sharing rules
  • Failed to disclose to two clients he was sharing legal fees with former New York State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the patrons for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards punished Jay by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

As one would suspect, Jay fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.goldbergiryami-taxcert.com. Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. April 2020) Jay practices with Goldberg & Iryami PC at 42 Broadway in New York, New York.
