Attorney Danny Lee Simmons of Lubbock; repeat offender, chiseler

The state of Texas presented Danny with a law license in 2005 after he graduated from Texas Tech.

In the recent past, the Texas State Bar found Danny guilty of the following misconduct:
  • Neglected a client’s legal matter
  • Failed to keep client reasonably informed about status of his case
  • When terminated failed to refund unearned fees
This wasn’t Danny’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. In mid-2009, he received a reprimand from the State Bar for a variety of misconduct. In early 2010, Danny received a fully probated suspension for engaging in additional misconduct.

As a consequence of being found guilty of misconduct for the third time, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas State Bar punished Danny by gifting him with a fully probated two-year suspension. Put simply, Danny the repeater didn’t suffer any real punishment.

When lawyers take multiple bites out of the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree they deserve to have their law licenses permanently revoked.

Is it any wonder that most Texans have total contempt for the attorney disciplinary process? Can ya blame them?

As we speak (ca. March 2012) Danny practices law at 1014 Broadway in Lubbock.
