Texas Attorney Workforce Infestation Rate
As we speak (ca. March 2012) there are approximately 77,000 licensed attorneys in Texas. By comparison, there are only about 50,000 physicians practicing in Texas. Put simply, there are at least 27,000 more lawyers than doctors.
The infestation of lawyers in Texas reminds one of the damage Texans suffered and continue to suffer from the infestation of pecan weevils as the most damaging late-season pecan pest.
Texans continue to suffer from an out of control birthrate among attorneys, which is among the highest in the developed world. Clearly, a reliable birth control device needs to be implemented to prevent unnecessary future births.
Let’s compare Texas’ attorney workforce infestation rate verses several other states as set forth in the textbox below. FYI: workforce population = Private non-farm employment per the U.S. Census Bureau.
It is difficult to imagine why in the world Texans would require more attorneys than physicians, especially when victims of Attorney Misfits may well need the care of a qualified proctologist.
