Attorney Joel Wadsworth of Atlanta, GA; ethical troll

The state of Georgia presented Joel S. Wadsworth with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from the University of Florida School of Law.

The Georgia State Bar found Joel guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Repeatedly failed to respond to client information requests
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Failed to respond to client requests for documents related to their cases
  • Engaged in illegal practice of law while license suspended for failure to pay annual registration fee
  • Failed to decline or terminate representation when required to do so
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Joel!)
  • Misconduct involved multiple violations
  • Evidence that misconduct involved dishonest and selfish motive

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Georgia Supreme Court punished Joel by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2020), Joel practices at 2625 Piedmont Road NE in Atlanta, Georgia.
