Judge Alexandra Smoots-Thomas of Houston; thieving loser
The State of Texas provided Alexandra Smoots-Thomas with a law license in 1998 after she graduated from South Texas University School of Law.
FYI: South Texas is ranked as the 165th best law school in the country out of 200 ABA (American Bar Association) accredited law schools.
If convicted, each of the seven charge carries a punishment of up to 20 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000, meaning she’d die in prison with no ability to pay a fine in excess of $1 million.
As a direct result of her arrest and felony charges, the Texas Supreme Court ordered that Judge Smoots-Thomas be suspended from the bench without pay pending the resolution of said criminal charges.
All that remains now is to see how long it takes for Smoots-Thomas to cop a plea in order to reduce the amount of time she’ll have to spend at the Seagoville Federal Correctional Institution for Women in Seagoville, Texas.
