Judge Ciro Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX; ethical gnome

The Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct is investigating Ciro for engaging in the following misconduct.

• Violated rule prohibiting him from using his name to endorse another candidate for public office
• Improperly lent the prestige of judicial office to advance the private interests of his daughter
• Engaged in improper campaign conduct on behalf of his daughter Xochil Pena Rodriguez

During a Tejano Democrats event, Ciro introduced his daughter by saying:

• “A district that we can win, a district that we shouldn’t have lost, but we’re going to take it.
• “Today we were in Maverick County, yesterday we were in Uvalde...and will be running throughout the 17 counties. (referencing the counties that make up the State Senate seat his daughter was seeking)

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out by the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. December 2019), Ciro continues to sit as a Bexar County Justice of the Peace in San Antonio, Texas.
