Attorney Brian Holk of Fort Worth, TX; ethical ogre

The state of Texas presented Brian Scott Holk with a law license in 2002 after he graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU) School of Law.

The District 7 Grievance Committee found Brian guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Brian!)
  • Neglected client’s child custody matter after being paid $3,750 to represent her in the matter
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to comply with client information requests

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Brian by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Brian.

As we speak (ca. December 2019), Brian practices at 4450 Oak Park Lane in Fort Worth, Texas.
