Attorney Phillip Purcell of Nashville, TN; cheating loser

The state of Tennessee provided presented Phillip Anthony Purcell with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from the University of Tennessee School of Law.

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility Phil guilty of the following misconduct.

• Dishonestly paid funds that he held in trust for a client totaling $13,500 to himself
• Forged his law partner's signature on a law firm check to repay the client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Phil by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

Because Attorney Misfits in Tennessee are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Phil was never criminally charged with or prosecuted for perjury.
