Attorney Don Pope of Centennial, CO; moron, repeat offender

The state of Colorado provided Don R. Pope with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from the University of New Hampshire School of Law.

The Colorado State Bar found Donnie guilty of the following misconduct.

Donnie’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Knowingly asserted frivolous claims
  • Repeatedly asserted claims of child abuse against his client’s husband even though the trial court had already ruled those claims not credible
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Knowingly disobeyed an obligation under the rules of a tribunal
  • Filed at least three sham motions to disqualify a judge that lacked proper support
  • Failed to report his prior drunk driving conviction

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Donnie by gifting him, with a complimentary censure.

Donnie’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
  • Knowingly pursued frivolous claims
  • Court awarded fees against Donnie and his client for engaging in misconduct
  • Due to Donnie’s incompetence, client found in contempt of court
  • Failed to take adequate stopes to ensure client’s interests were represented at court hearing

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Donnie by gifting him, with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Donnie.

As we speak (ca. November 2019), Donnie practices at 2037 East Phillips Place in Centennial, Colorado.
