Attorney Ian Hicks of Denver; ethical troll

The state of Colorado provided Ian Trevor Hicks with a law license in 2007 after he graduated from the University of Denver School of Law.

The Colorado State Bar found Ian guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Improperly engaged in sexual relations with a client
  • Disclosed confidential information regarding a number of his clients
  • Forwarded to client he was involved with sexually her emails from clients or opposing counsel, and sent her draft settlement demands and other draft documents
  • Failed to obtain client consent to reveal confidential information

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Ian by gifting him, with a complimentary censure.

As one would suspect, Ian fails to mention the conduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.ithlaw.com. Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. November 2019), Ian practices with The Law Office of Ian T. Hicks LLC at 6000 East Evans Avenue in Denver, Colorado.
