Attorney Percy Squire of Columbus, OH; ethical troll
The state of Ohio presented Percy Squire with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from Ohio State University School of Law.
The Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Percy guilty of the following misconduct.
-
Displayed a dishonest and selfish motive
-
Misconduct involved multiple offenses
-
Failed to communicate nature/scope of representation and basis or rate of his fee and expenses within reasonable time after commencing the representation
-
Commingled client funds with personal funds
-
Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
-
Failed to maintain detailed records documenting funds received, disbursements made, and current balance in trust account
-
Submitted false evidence and false statements or engaged in other deceptive practices during the disciplinary proceeding (Screw you, said Percy!)
-
Borrowed client funds for himself and for other clients
-
Borrowed client funds against expected billing
-
Failed to make full disclosures of expenditure of client funds to his clients
-
Engaged in an egregious conflict of interest
As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 4-year suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. November 2019) Percy practices with Percy Squire Co. LLC at 341 South 3rd Street in Columbus, Ohio.
