Attorney James Del Sordo of Manassas, VA; serial fraudster, repeater

The state of Virginia presented James Stephen Del Sordo with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from Hofstra University School of Law.

The Virginia State Bar Disciplinary found Stu guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Failed to properly deposit and disburse client funds
  • Failed to comply with mandatory record-keeping requirements
  • Investigation showed trust account shortfall of $21,074.99
  • Failed to perform any trust account reconciliations
  • Filed numerous bankruptcy petitions on the eve of foreclosure on his home
  • Wrote check for $51,795.08 to purchase Acura MDX for his wife
  • Bankruptcy petitions only listed Jimmy’s $15,000 monthly draw, not his actual income which was considerably higher
  • The $51,000 MDX purchase was not reported on bankruptcy schedules
  • For the three years of his tenure with Argus Legal, Jimmy made $298,396,45, $451,460.78, and $387,308.05 respectively
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Jimmy’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received one (1) complimentary admonition and one complimentary reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Virginia Bar Disciplinary Board punished Danny by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

Because Attorney Misfits in Virginia are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Jimmy was never criminally charged with or prosecuted for bankruptcy fraud.

As we speak (ca. February 2020), Jimmy practices with Argus Legal PLLC at 9255 Center Street in Manassas, Virginia.
