Attorney Eric Johnson of Saint Clair Shores, MI; ethical troll

The state of Michigan presented Eric T. Johnson with a law license in 2007 after he graduated from Wayne State University School of Law.

The Tri-County Hearing Panel #107 found Eric guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Committed professional misconduct when he opened a Dell line of credit using the name and Social Security number of his then mother-in-law, without her knowledge or consent
  • Eric’s mother-in-law reported the matter to the Lapeer County Sheriff's Office which investigated the matter, however, she declined to proceed with criminal charges against Eric
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, misrepresentation, or violation of the criminal law
  • Engaged in conduct reflected adversely on the lawyer's honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer
  • Engaged in conduct exposing legal profession to contempt or reproach
  • Engaged in conduct that was contrary to justice, ethics, honesty, or good morals

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Eric by gifting him with a complimentary 300-day suspension of his law license and assessed costs of $2,057.08.

As we speak (ca. February 2020), Eric practices with the Law Office of Valentine J. Temrowski at 24055 Jefferson Avenue in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan.
