Columbus, Ohio Judge John Connor – America’s preeminent Judicial Drunk

Over the years, Judge John Connor has been arrested eight (8) times for driving while drunk. Is that like cool or what?

It cannot be disputed that Judge John Connor who sits on the Franklin County, Ohio Common Pleas Court in Columbus is the undisputed champion of Judicial Drunks. One would think that after eight (8) arrests for drunk driving that ol’ John the Drunk would have forever been disqualified from sitting on the bench.

In the United States of Ohio, Chief Justice Thomas Moyer has ruled that in order for an Ohio judge to be disqualified from sitting on the bench, the number of DUI arrests must, as a matter of law reach double figures.

Now to be excruciatingly fair to Judge John Connor, I believe that a valid reason exists for his habitual drunkenness. Put simply, being in a continuous intoxicated state is not Judge John Connor’s fault.

Rumor has it that during his formative years, Judge John Connor became a ward of the Franklin County Children’s Services Department. As a result, Judge John Connor suffered the repeated indignity of being shuffled to one foster parent after another. I think that once you’ve reviewed the names of his foster parents below you’ll become a true believer as I have that, Judge John Connor is truly the real victim here.
  • Judge John Connor: No. 1 foster parents – Mr. and Mrs. James Beam
  • Judge John Connor: No. 2 foster parents – Mr. and Mrs. Jack Daniels
  • Judge John Connor: No. 3 foster parents – Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Walker
  • Judge John Connor: No. 4 foster parents – Mr. and Mrs. Igor Stolichnaya
  • Judge John Connor: No. 5 foster parents – Mr. and Mrs. David Bushmills
  • Judge John Connor: No. 6 foster parents – Mr. and Mrs. Jeremy Hennessey
If that doesn’t convince you that Judge John Connor was the real victim of his environment, then I don’t know what the hell will.  Whatya say folks, let’s have a moment of silence and tip one for ol” Johnny Baby, Okay?
