The state of New York presented William James Alford III with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law.

 

The Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Billy’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to promptly refund an unearned fee

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Professional Standards Committee punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

 

Billy’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to file a notice of appeal in criminal matter on client’s behalf

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Professional Standards Committee punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

 

Billy’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to respond to client letters regarding money orders
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Failed to communicate with client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Professional Standards Committee punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary 3-month suspension of his law license.
