Attorney Ernest Kersten of Fort Dodge, IA; repeat offender

 

The state of Iowa presented Ernest M. Kersten with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Creighton University of Iowa School of Law. 

 

The Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board found Ernie guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Ernie’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Published editorial relating to matters involving pending lawsuits against the county board of supervisors that went beyond permissible judicial limits on extrajudicial statements relating to matters in civil litigation
  • Improperly disparaged motives of board of supervisors

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Ernie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

Ernie’s 2ndbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to respond to numerous client calls
  • Client appeal denied due to failure to file notice in timely manner

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Ernie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

As we speak (ca. February 2020), Ernie practices at 1609 220th Street in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
