Attorney Teresa Knight of Flint, MI; slacker, loser

The state of Michigan presented Teresa A. Knight with a law license in 2000 after she graduated from Wayne State University School of Law.

The County Hearing Panel #1 found Terry guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Committed acts of professional misconduct in her representation of one client in closing a probate matter
  • Committed misconduct in her representation of a separate client in administering a revocable living trust
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Terry!)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Upon termination, failed to take reasonable steps to protect client interests
  • Knowingly disobeyed an obligation under the rules of a tribunal

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Terry by gifting her with a complimentary 60-day suspension of her law license.

Additionally, Terry was ordered to pay restitution of $844.66 and assessed costs of $500.00.

As we speak (ca. February 2020), Terry practices at 720 Church Street in Flint, Michigan.
