Attorney Gerald Berg of Springfield, MA; ethical troll

The state of Massachusetts presented Gerald B. Berg with a law license in 1970 after he graduated from Western New England University School of Law.

FYI: Western New England University is ranked as the 164th best law school in the country out of 202 ABA accredited schools.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Gerry guilty of the following misconduct.

• Simultaneously represented seller and buyer in a residential real estate transaction
• Failed to adequately explain the buyer/seller conflict and obtain the informed consent of the buyer
• Not reasonable for Gerry to believe he could provide competent and diligent representation to each client affected by the conflict of interest
• The buyer executed several documents setting forth unusual terms and conditions that favored the seller, and the terms of the loan
• would not have been included in any loan transaction from any recognized lending institution

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Gerry by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.  

As one would suspect, Gerry fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.attygeraldberg.net. Apparently, he decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients to assure that he would not limit her future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. February 2020) Gerry practices with the Law Office of Gerald B. Berg at 1350 Main Street in Springfield, Massachusetts.
