Solicitor Lee Man Yee of Hong Kong; ethical Goblin

The Law Society of Hong Kong presented Lee Man Yee with a law license in 1991 after she graduated from the University of Hong Kong School of Law.

The Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Lee Man Yee guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• As solicitor handling divers buy-back conveyancing transactions on behalf of the Hong Kong Housing Authority (HKHA) failed to stamp and register the Assignments in respect of 28 undertakings within prescribed period from date of execution of respective assignments
• Failed to keep the HKHA properly informed of misplacement of the conveyancing files relating to the said 28 buy-back conveyancing transactions
• Failed to give the HKHA any explanation for the delay in registering the said 28 Assignments until after the HKHA made a request for an explanation

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Lee Man Yee by gifting her with a complimentary censure and fined HK$35,000.00 ($4,471.00 US).

As we speak (ca. February 2020), Lee Man Yee practices with Lee Chan Cheng at 19-20 Connaught Road Central in Hong Kong.
