Solicitor Gopal Gupta of United Kingdom; ethical goblin

The Law Society presented Gopal Krishen Gupta with a law license in 1980.

The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal found Gopal guilty of the following misconduct

  • Acted where there was a conflict or a significant risk of a conflict arising between his own interests and those of his clients
  • Improperly sought to impede an investigation by the SRA of a complaint about his conduct (Screw you, said Gopal!)
  • Motivated by the desire to protect his son’s interests and thus his own aligned interests

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Tribunal punished Gopal by gifting him with a complimentary fine of £45,000 (US $54,663.00) and assessed costs of £23,500 (US $28,546.00)

As we speak (ca. September 2019), Gopal practices at 102 Wolsey Road, Moor Park, Northwood, Middlesex, England.
