Judge Jim O’Hern of Fort Smith, AR; ethical goblin

The State of Arkansas provided James Edward O’Hern with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Law.

The Arkansas Judicial Discipline & Disability Commission found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to comply with the law (scofflaw)
  • Created appearance of impropriety
  • Failed to uphold the independence of the judiciary
  • Engaged in activities that would appear to a reasonable person to undermine Davey’s independence, integrity or impartiality

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arkansas Judicial Discipline & Disability Commission punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

As we speak (ca. September 2019), Davey continues to sit as a Sebastian County District Court-Fort Smith District Judge in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
