Barrister/Solicitor Peter Shipanoff of Alberta, CAN; ethical troll

The Law Society of Alberta presented Peter Shipanoff with a law license in 2002 after he graduated from the University of Alberta School of Law.

The Alberta Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Pete guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to properly supervise his staff
• Failed to ensure that client funds were deposited in the firm's trust account and recorded in the firm accounting records
• Failed to properly account and record funds paid by two clients
• Failed to record cash client payments in his firm’s trust ledger

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Pete by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand assessed costs of $7,500.00.

As we speak (ca. March 2020), Pete practices with the Peter Shipanoff, Barrister & Solicitor at 108 50^th Street in St. Albert, Alberta, Canada.
