Attorney Balraj Chhoker of Alberta, CAN; deceitful loser

The Law Society of Alberta presented Balraj Chhoker with a law license in 2005 after he graduated from the University of Alberta School of Law.

The Alberta Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Balraj guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to be candid with the Law Society (Screw you, said Balraj!)
• Failed to conscientiously serve his client or clients
• Failed to report unethical conduct of another lawyer to the Law Society
• Provided misleading responses when questioned under oath in a civil proceeding
• Signed a cheque to disburse trust funds in contravention of the Rules

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Balraj by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license and assessed costs of $75,000.00.
