The state of Tennessee granted James Wendell McKenzie with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
In addition to being a judge, Jimmy is also a landlord in the Dayton, Tennessee area. While serving as a judge and landlord, Jimmy permitted an attorney who rented from him to appear in his court without notifying opposing counsel of this relationship and conflict of interest.
Even worse Jimmy repeatedly appointed the same attorney-tenant as a guardian ad litem in his court. In these cases, it is the judge who approves an attorney’s claim for fees, which in many cases are inflated and/or total fabrications.
Jimmy also found it convenient to use an unknown expletive in open court.
As a consequence of his misconduct the enablers of Judicial Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Court of the Judiciary punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. March 2012) Jimmy the Loser remains sitting as a General Sessions Judge in Dayton, |
