Attorney Ryan MacKay of Alberta, CAN; ethical dwarf

The Law Society of Alberta presented Michael C.C. MacKay with a law license in 2007 after he graduated from the University of Alberta School of Law.

The Alberta Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Ryan guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to comply with the Undertaking by releasing the Holdback to his client in the face of assertions that the landscaping had not been completed
• Failed to comply with an Undertaking contrary to Rule 6.02(13) of the Code of Conduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Ryan by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand assessed costs of $1,300.00.

As one would suspect, Ryan fails to mention the alleged misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.mackaylaw.ca. Apparenlty, Ryan and his firm decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for fear it would limit his future victim pool.
