Attorney Peter Mawson of Alberta, CAN; moronic liar

The Law Society of Alberta presented Peter Mawson with a law license in 2005 after he graduated from the University of Alberta School of Law.

The Alberta Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Ronnie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to respond promptly and completely to communications from the Law Society (Screw you, said Pete!)
  • Failed to inform his client of the Plaintiff’s offer to settle
  • Failed to provide his client the application materials for a Summary Judgment Application hearing
  • Failed to file his client’s affidavit in a timely manner resulting in his client’s evidence not being considered during court hearing
  • Failed to follow his client’s instructions to send him a
  • copy of the Summary Judgment
  • Failed to inform his client of the scheduled Examination of Assets
  • Failed to follow his client’s instructions to consent to a Bill of Costs
  • Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to provide conscientious services to his client
  • Failed to advise clients of court order directing them to attend questioning and pay costs
  • Failed to advise clients of court application to find them in civil contempt of court
  • Failed to attend scheduled court hearing on client’s behalf
  • Failed to obtain consent of his clients to consent to court order
  • Failed to advise clients of court order granting costs against them
  • Failed to advise clients of Writ of Enforcement for non-payment of court ordered costs
  • Paid invoice for legal fees from trust account without providing an invoice to his clients
  • Failed to respond to enquiries from another lawyers
  • Failed to advise clients of defendant’s application for summary dismissal of their case
  • Failed to advise clients of court order granting dismissal of their case
  • Failed to advance his client’s matter
  • Failed to be candid with other lawyers
  • Fabricated correspondence purported to be sent to another lawyer
  • Failed to be candid with Law Society (Up yours, said Pete!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Ronnie by gifting him with a complimentary 20-month suspension of his law license and assessed costs of $45,810.70.

As one would suspect, Pete fails to mention the alleged misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.mandmlaw.ca. Apparenlty, Pete decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for fear it would limit his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. March 2020), Pete practices with McGlashan & Mackinnon at 10033 80th Avenue NW in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
