Attorney Jae Shim of Alberta, CAN; ethical goblin

The Law Society of Alberta presented Jae H. Shim with a law license in 2010 after he graduated from the University of Alberta School of Law.

The Alberta Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Jae guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to serve his client’s interests
• Failed to treat his client with courtesy
• Attempted to wrongfully influence the complainant
• Swore an inaccurate affidavit due to carelessness or lack of attention to detail

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Jae by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed costs of $2,073.75.  

As we speak (ca. February 2020), Jae practices with Jae H. Shim PC at 1100 8^th Avenue SW in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
