Attorney Steven Altman of East Hampton, NY; scamming loser

The state of New York presented Steven Altman with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from the New York School of Law.

The Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards found Stevie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on his fitness as a lawyer
  • Without his friend's knowledge, Stevie was going to have her
  • either avoid testifying or falsely testify in the SEC proceeding if her former employer either avoided testifying or falsely testified in an SEC proceeding
  • Misconduct led SEC Administrative law judge barring Stevie from appearing before the SEC for at least nine months
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Professional Standards Committee punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary 18-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. September 2019), Stevie practices with Altman & Company PC in East Hampton, New York.
