Attorney Rosario Di Bella of British Columbia, CAN; ethical troll

The Law Society of British Columbia presented Rosario C. Di Bella with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from the University of British Columbia School of Law.

The British Columbia Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Rosario guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to effectively communicate with client
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to comply with client information requests
• Failed to respond to client phone calls
• Failed to take appropriate steps to do what he promised to the client
• Failed to timely answer any client communication that required a reply
• Failed to ensure work on client file was done in timely manner
• Failed to make reasonable efforts to provide prompt service to client
• Upon termination failed to take steps to facilitate orderly transfer of matter to another attorney
• Failed to notify client in writing that you were no longer acting on his behalf
• Failed to advise client the reasons for your withdrawal
• Failed to deliver to the client all papers and property which the client was entitled
• Failed to cooperate with successor lawyer in transfer of client file
• Failed to take appropriate steps to avoid prejudice to client upon termination

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Law Society punished Amarjit by gifting him with a complimentary $5,500 fine plus $2,500.00 in costs.
